Bread

The classics matter.

Bread with ham is more classic than most of the monuments of ancient Rome. Enjoyed with wine, bread has left its mark on the history of the Western world for more than two millennia. The three together conquered an empire. We still believe that bread with ham is a complete and delicious snack for any day, especially at the beginning of a school or work day.

An excellent wheat, good flour, sourdough, strong hands, wood-burning oven are all essential. Spain is a land of reknowned bread artisans and breads with the revered PDI (protected geographical indication): Pa de Pagès Català, Pan de Cea Bread of Alfacar, and Pan de Cruz. We celebrate the rebirth of bread and the vindication of traditional, tasty, aromatic, crisp and handcrafted pieces. The subtlety of a truly great bread, reveals the spendor of a great ham.

Advice
  • Ham loves to be paired with great bread; with crisp crust and dense, aromstic and sometimes tart pieces.

  • There are two traditional ways of eating ham on its own: with toothpicks or with bread moistened with tomato and oil. Either way, freshly-toasted day-old bread enhances the aromas and flavours of the ham.
